A guy at a Portland used book store told me a viral tweet about "nobody reads anymore" was built on one survey of 40 college kids
I pulled up the thread on my phone right there in the aisle and the top comment had 80k likes saying libraries are dying, but the actual source chart showed library visits up 12% since 2019, so now I always chase the link before I get mad, and I'm curious if anyone else has a bad take they actually traced back to the original study.
