That time I grilled a YouTuber about a 'correct way to read' take and it backfired on me

Had a conversation last Thursday with a guy in my D&D group who kept pushing this hot take from a viral video essay, something about how reading physical books is the only 'real' reading and audiobooks don't count. I pushed back with the usual 'what about blind people' argument and he doubled down, saying they should just use braille. I laughed it off at first, but then I realized I actually do the same thing with ebooks versus paperback when I'm grading student reading logs. It hit different because he made me notice my own small version of that gatekeeping, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has caught themselves doing a milder version of a bad take they'd normally roast online. How do you handle that moment when the cringe take is basically yours, just with extra steps?
