The 2009 blog post about vinyl that I mocked for a decade
Honestly, back in 2011 I was all in on digital files, thought vinyl was just hipster clutter. Then my buddy in Portland made me listen to a 1977 pressing of Rumours on his setup, and the bass on 'The Chain' hit different. Took me 11 years to admit he was right, and now I've spent over $400 on records myself. Anyone else flip on a format they swore was dead?

Man, it's wild how we all do a 180 on stuff we were so sure about, right? It's like everything cycles back, even the things we swore were pointless, you just gotta live long enough to see it come around again.

The whole "even the things we swore were pointless" line hit me hard, lol. I used to think flip phones were the most useless tech ever invented, now I'm genuinely considering buying one just to disconnect from everything. It's funny how your brain changes as you get older, you start seeing value in stuff you used to roll your eyes at. Plus with everything so fast and online now, the "pointless" stuff usually ends up being the thing that actually keeps you sane. Guess we all end up eating our words eventually, just gotta be patient.
