Can we talk about the night I got stuck watching a 1994 infomercial marathon in a Dayton motel?
The TV in my room only got three channels and one of them ran a Tony Little Gazelle ad on loop from 1am to 4am, and by hour two I was weirdly hooked on the guy's shouting. Now I hunt down old infomercial compilations on purpose, so what's the cheesiest one you still can't look away from?
Man, that 3am slot matters more than people admit. Those stations bought leftover airtime for almost nothing, so the weird stuff that couldn't sell during the day got dumped there, and half asleep you're basically the perfect target. I've noticed the same thing with the old exercise machine ads, the ones where the host never takes a breath, he just keeps yelling like the volume knob is stuck. Forget the product, the pitch itself was the show.
