That 24-hour marathon of The Sentinel broke my brain in the best way

I stumbled onto a Sci-Fi channel rerun block of The Sentinel last Saturday and watched 9 straight episodes before my cat finally knocked over a lamp to snap me out of it. Jim Ellison's whole 'enhanced senses' thing is so hilariously dated, but the show's pure 90s cop energy somehow makes it the coziest thing on TV. Anyone else got a show that's objectively terrible but you can't stop falling asleep to it?

Something about those old USA network shows hits different when you know every plot beat already. The predictability is the whole point, your brain just turns off and lets the cheesy synth music wash over you. Honestly the best sleep aid is already knowing the detective catches the bad guy.
