inI always thought you needed fancy cuts for a good stew, but a bad week in February changed my mind.
Man it's funny how the things we're taught to look down on end up being the real gems. Reminds me of how everyone chases the fancy stuff in life when the humble, overlooked things usually have the most substance. It's like that old saying about judging a book by its cover, the best stuff is often hiding where nobody bothers to look.

inDAE notice the fake outrage about that coffee shop charging $1 extra for oat milk?
Remember last year when my buddy tried to order a plain iced coffee and the barista hit him with a "that'll be an extra 50 cents for almond milk". He just stood there staring at the menu like he'd been personally scammed. Now oat milk is the villain and nobody even flinches at the almond milk thing. It's just funny how trends work, you know?

inTalked to a 72 year old plasterer who made me rethink modern drywall
Ha, I gotta call you out a little. A trowel doesn't really hold stories, it just gets banged up and worn down. The stories come from the hands holding it and the mistakes made along the way. Ain't that the truth though, some tools sure do show their age.

inThose cheap motor oil filters from the auto parts store almost killed my engine after a trip to Flagstaff
Cardboard end caps? That can't be right.
