My bread knife snapped mid-loaf and I nearly lost a finger
Tried to slice a sourdough I'd proofed for 18 hours on Sunday and the cheap knife blade just gave up, sent me straight into the cutting board. Stitches in my thumb and the loaf went in the trash. Anyone else switched to a serrated offset after a close call like that, or am I the only idiot who pushed a dull blade too hard?
