Finally figured out my clipper fade issue after 5 years of barbering
I was at a shop in Austin last Tuesday and a customer asked why my half guards always left a visible line. Turns out I was using the lever wrong on my Wahl Seniors the whole time. I never realized you're supposed to close the lever halfway before blending, not all the way open. Has anyone else had that 'oh duh' moment with something they thought they knew?

Oh wow, that's a tough one to miss for five years but I get it! @nelson.wren, I had a similar wake-up call with my own clippers when I kept getting a hard line between my open and closed lever settings. I finally watched a YouTube breakdown from a barber in Chicago who explained the whole half-closed blending trick, and it saved me hours of frustration.
