Hot take: I stopped doing straight razor shaves after 11 years and my hands finally quit aching
Used to do a hot towel straight razor finish on every single cut, mostly because a guy named Darnell at the old spot on 5th Street in Dayton taught me that way back when. Now I keep 2 straights in the drawer for the regulars who ask and keep a foil shaver within reach for everyone else, and I finish more heads before noon than I used to finish all day. Turns out the wrist work on a straight was grinding me down more than the clippers ever did. Any of you still run a full straight razor menu, or have you quietly cut it down like I did?
