Overheard a dad teaching his kid about clipper guards in my shop yesterday

It reminded me how barbering skills are passed down through generations, even in small moments.

Consider @seanc73's story. Will that kid ever actually use what his dad taught him?

Remember what @seanc73 said about his brother's bald spot, that's why you start with the longest guard. It builds muscle memory for the tool before you ever touch hair, which saves a lot of headaches later. The lesson sticks even if they never pick up clippers again.

My dad tried to teach me once. I nearly gave my brother a bald spot, so maybe some skills skip a generation.

Tried cutting my sister's bangs once and created a lopsided window.
