TIL a $14 comb beats the $60 clipper guards I ran for 3 years

I finally switched from plastic guards to a flat top comb on my Wahl seniors last month, and my fades on straight hair got cleaner in one pass. My chair time dropped by about 5 minutes per cut, which adds up fast on a busy Saturday in Fresno. Any of you run comb over guards full time, or do you still keep the plastics around for certain hair types?

Man, I feel you on those plastic guards, they always snag and leave lines no matter how slow you go. I keep a couple plastics around for curly and coarse hair since the comb just fights through it, but for straight hair the flat top comb is night and day. Five minutes a cut really does stack up by the end of a Saturday.
