My 1970s tile job hid a nasty surprise under the floor

Tore out the old pink tile from my guest bath last weekend. Underneath was two layers of linoleum from the 80s and 90s. Took me 5 hours with a scraper and heat gun to get it all up. Anyone else find weird old flooring stacked under their demo?

Wait, you had TWO layers of linoleum UNDER the pink tile? That's absolutely INSANE. I thought my house was bad with the mustard yellow vinyl over original hardwood, but that's a whole different level of lazy. Who just keeps slapping new flooring over old stuff without at least scraping the top layer? A heat gun and scraper for FIVE hours sounds like pure torture, my back hurts just thinking about it.
