Shoutout to the barista at that shop in Asheville who suggested I stir my pour-over before the drawdown

Oh wow, I was totally against stirring for the longest time, thought it would mess up the filter bed. Tried it on a whim with a tricky light roast last week and it was a total game changer, no more weird sour patches. That barista knows what's up.

I had to pick between two kinds of fish for a big party this weekend

Wait, they're serving fish to 50 people? Is that normal for a wedding? I've only ever seen chicken or beef. I'd be so worried about someone having an allergy or just not liking it. Grilled coho does sound good, but that's a huge risk for a main dish.

Vent: I used to think the algorithm just showed you more of what you liked. After my post about a specific grout brand got 3 views, I changed my mind.

Honestly though, is the algorithm really that deep? It's just some code trying to guess what keeps people scrolling. Sometimes it works, sometimes your grout post gets buried. It's not a personal attack, it's just bad luck or boring content to a machine. People act like it's some grand conspiracy instead of a messy system that kinda sucks at its job lol.

Tbh, my mom packing a giant first aid kit messed up our mileage

That "dump your packs" method is a real test. My buddy had to leave his favorite old wool shirt, a lucky piece he always brought. He said hiking without it felt strange, but his pack was so much lighter he got over it fast.

Spotted several garage shops adding CNC routers on my street

Hold up, feeds and speeds for softer materials like plastic need more than just a guess on softness. Chip load is key to avoid melting the plastic. If the feed is too slow, heat builds up and ruins the cut. Balancing speed and depth keeps things clean. What setup tricks have you picked up for plastics?
