My whole editing flow shifted after one YouTube commenter called out my cuts
Some rando on a review video said my 2 second jump cuts felt like a seizure trigger, and at first I laughed it off but then I timed 3 of my last videos and they were brutal. I slowed everything down to 4-5 second beats and now my retention is up 30%, has anyone else had a random comment actually improve their work?

That "seizure trigger" comment would've gutted me too, but hey, at least your editing was memorable in the worst way possible. I had a viewer once tell me my intro music sounded like a dying smoke alarm, and turns out they were right, I'd been tuning it out for weeks. It's funny how a random stranger can spot the thing you've gone blind to, even when it stings a little to hear it.
