Swapped my gas leaf blower for a rake and corded vac, no regrets so far

I used to be that guy out front every Saturday with a 2-stroke blower, twenty minutes of noise and fumes to move maybe three bags of leaves. Around March of last year my neighbor, who gardens for a living, asked if I'd ever actually counted what that thing costs to run. I did the math on fuel and oil for the season, came out to about $85, not huge, but the smell and the ringing ears were the real price. Now I rake into piles and use a corded electric blower/vac I got for $45 at a yard sale back in April, it mulches right into the compost bin. It takes me maybe ten minutes longer but I'm not breathing exhaust or apologizing to the guy two doors down. Anyone else make the switch and find the cord annoying enough to go back to gas? I'm curious if battery cordless is worth the jump someday.
