My brother called the Switch 2 reveal in a group chat back in 2021 and we all gave him grief for it
He dropped a screenshot from some Japanese supply chain blog in our Discord on a random Tuesday in March 2021 saying Nintendo was already locking down components for a bigger handheld. We roasted him for 20 minutes straight, called it fake, moved on, and now the thing has been out for months and I owe him lunch. Did anyone else save a wild prediction from years back that turned out dead on?

Did your brother ever rub it in after the announcement or was he cool about it? My roommate did the same thing to me back in 2019 when he said Nintendo was gonna do a handheld only Switch and I laughed at him for like ten minutes. He pulled up some patent filing and I told him patents don't mean anything and companies file them all the time just to sit on them. Fast forward to the Lite coming out and he would not let it go for weeks, brought it up at every dinner we had together that whole year. I still think patents are mostly worthless as proof but man was he right on that one. We made a bet on it too and I had to buy him a whole case of his favorite beer which was not cheap.
