Had a similar thing happen with a old timer at a cabinet shop back in Ohio, except his trick was for the miter saw. He kept a little block of scrap clamped to the fence as a stop so he never had to hold small trim pieces with his hand near the blade. Took me a while to get it but now I do it every single time. Funny how one guy just shows you something in five minutes that sticks with you for twenty years. Sounds like your Reno guy saved you a few fingers too.

Did you color code them by game or by topic? I did the same thing with my D&D books last year and it was a total game changer, honestly the biggest win was tabs on the monster index pages so I don't have to squint at that tiny text every time.
