Unpopular opinion: that old Reddit post about a tiny Ohio gym calling out a future UFC champ got ignored for 2 years
I found a 2016 comment chain from a guy in Dayton who said he sparred with a then-unknown fighter and got wrecked in under 90 seconds. Everyone called him a liar and downvoted him to -40, but 2 years later that same fighter was on the main card of UFC 225. I tried posting the screenshot to a few big MMA subs and got told I was karma farming, so what am I missing about how this kind of stuff actually blows up?
