Vent: I found a 2019 comment predicting the whole AI art fight and it had 3 upvotes
I was digging through an old art forum thread from 2019 about a Photoshop brush pack and some guy named Kevin left a comment saying within 5 years a machine would win a county fair art contest and nobody would agree on whether that counts. It got 3 upvotes and one reply calling him paranoid. Fast forward to this summer and that exact fight happened at a fair in Colorado. I have been sitting on this screenshot for a week and I do not know what to do with it. Has anyone else found an old comment that called a whole mess years early?

Oh wow, that is wild! I had almost the same thing happen with a Reddit comment from 2018 where some guy said phones would start editing our photos better than we could and everyone said he was nuts. I screenshotted it too and just sat there staring at it for days wondering if I should post it or just let it go. Part of me wants to hunt these people down and tell them they were right all along, but the other part knows they probably forgot they even wrote it. Kind of makes you wonder how many other random comments out there are basically fortune telling and we just scroll right past them. Three upvotes for calling the future is crazy though, Kevin deserved way more credit than that.
