Am I the only one who chased a "viral" local news story and found out it was one guy's Facebook rant?
My town's paper ran a big story about a "rent hike crisis" at the Maple Grove apartments, so I called the number on the flyer and got a guy named Dale who admitted he was just mad about his own $75 increase and made the flyer himself at the library, and now I want to know if anyone else has tracked one of these "community outrage" stories back to a single angry dude with a printer.
