Man I felt that one in my bones. Had to choose between fixing my truck's alternator or hitting a festival last summer. Picked the festival of course. Spent the whole weekend broke down in a dirt lot while my buddy tried to jump start me with a portable charger. Worst part was I missed most of the headliners anyway because I was waiting for a tow truck. Still stings thinking about it.

Dude your buddy tried to jump start you with a portable charger? Like those little battery pack things you plug your phone into? That's just sad and kind of funny at the same time. I can't believe you actually sat there watching him try that while your truck just sat there dead in the dirt. Must have been a real moment of clarity when you realized you made the wrong call. And then missing most of the headliners on top of it, that's just pouring salt in the wound. I'd probably still be mad about that a year later too.

That line about "spent the whole weekend broke down in a dirt lot" really hits home. It's like these big decisions have a way of punishing you twice when you go with the fun option. Sometimes the responsible choice is the one that saves you from a whole string of bad moments like that.
