That report on mental health apps left me with more questions than answers
After the latest news on mental health apps, I dug into the research. One side argues they provide easy help for anxiety, especially when therapists are scarce. The other side worries they might make people ignore serious issues that need professional care. Has anyone else looked into this beyond the headlines?

Watched my friend use one for weeks before she finally admitted it wasn't fixing her real problem.

Tried one of those apps last year when I was stressed about work. It sort of helped calm me down in the moment but also made me wonder if I was just putting a bandaid on something bigger. The whole thing is pretty confusing.

Look at this whole mess. These apps feel like getting a tiny cup of water when your house is on fire. Sure, it's a liquid, but maybe call the actual fire department? Sounds exactly like what happened with @blair868's friend. They sell you on quick fixes that might calm a worry for a second, but real problems don't just get better with breathing exercises. It's wild that we trust an app more than admitting we need real help sometimes.
