My buddy in Tulsa said Cobain is untouchable, and I still can't let it go
We were arguing at his kitchen table over cheap beer and he said you just can't criticize him because of what he meant to a whole generation, like that ends the conversation. I said meaning a lot to people and being good are two different things, and he called me cold. So tell me straight, is there anybody from the 90s where the sadness around them makes them hard to knock, or am I just being a jerk about this?
Had a boss who got weirdly upset when I said the office coffee was bad once, same energy as your buddy. You can love what someone gave you and still admit they had some rough patches.
