I grabbed a $40 used paperback bio of a dead rock star at a shop in Toledo because everyone online acts like he was some genius, and by page 60 I was bored out of my mind. The book was full of filler about his childhood, three whole chapters on a band he quit in 8 months, and almost nothing about the songs people claim changed their lives. If people really loved this guy's work so much, why does a 400 page book about him have nothing worth reading? What dead famous person did you spend real money to learn about only to find out the hype was mostly smoke?
