Warning: That $60 documentary about Kurt Cobain was just recycled YouTube clips
I bought that new streaming exclusive on Kurt Cobain last night and it was literally just clips from interviews already on YouTube with some cheesy narration over it. The only new thing was some guy's opinion about what Nirvana would sound like today. Anyone else get tricked by these cash grab celeb docs?

Has anyone actually gone back and watched the old MTV interviews to see if these docs even bother to fact check them? The thing nobody talks about is how these streaming docs cut out the context around the quotes they use. Like they'll grab a 30 second clip of Kurt being sarcastic and present it like it's a serious confession or something. The real problem is they're not even using the full interviews properly, they're just cherry picking the most dramatic bits to fit whatever lazy narrative they're pushing this week. It's lazy editing dressed up like insight and people keep paying for it.

@samrodriguez nailed it, seems like even the defenders are catching on now. The worst part is these docs just reheat the same couple of conspiracy theories about his death without ever asking why he felt so isolated in the first place. Maybe what's missing is talking to normal folks from Aberdeen who actually knew him before the fame, not just rock journalists recycling old tapes.
