Question about the hype for 'The Bear' season 2
I finally watched it last week after hearing everyone rave, but the 10 episodes felt like a stressful, 5-hour panic attack that I didn't actually enjoy finishing.

Oh man, I feel that. I spent the whole season stressed out like I was the one who forgot to order the fish. The hype makes sense because it's so good at making you feel that pressure, but it's definitely not a relaxing watch.

Maybe the hype is because it's the first show that makes you feel the real stress of a kitchen job. It's not fun to watch but it feels true, idk.

The stress angle gets talked about a lot, but I'm not sold it's the main draw. Plenty of older shows like "Hell's Kitchen" or even Gordon Ramsay's old UK stuff showed the yelling and pressure. What makes this one different for me is the quiet moments, like Carmy just staring into a fridge or the flashbacks to his family. That's where the real story is, not in the ticket machine going off. The hype feels more about the characters than the job stress.
