Watching the 'Dark' finale almost made me quit the show for good

I was at my friend's place in Chicago last year, and we binged the whole last season in one weekend. Everyone online says the ending is perfect, but honestly... it felt like a cop-out to me. All that build-up with the time loops and the families just ended with a reset button. It made the whole journey feel pointless. Has anyone else finished a show and felt like the ending ruined the re-watch value?

I used to defend the Dark ending, but after my third re-watch I get what you mean. @the_claire has the right idea with the mental delete button.

See that's the part I'm stuck on. If you need a delete button for the ending, doesn't that mean the whole story is broken? Like, you can't just cut off the last chapter of a book and call it fixed. What changed for you on that third watch that made the defense fall apart?

My sister and I felt the same way after the Lost finale. We just agreed to pretend the last season never happened, which let us enjoy the early mysteries again. Sometimes a bad ending just needs its own mental delete button.
