Went from hating crime docs to binging 4 in a row after The Staircase hooked me

I used to swear off true crime shows because they felt too heavy. But last month I gave The Staircase a shot on a rainy Saturday and finished all 13 episodes in 2 days. The way it flips from courtroom drama to family secrets kept me glued to the couch. After that I plowed through The Jinx in one sitting and then Making a Murderer over 3 nights. Now I'm hunting for another one like The Keepers that has that same 'wait, what?' twist every episode. Has anyone else found a show that completely changed what you thought you liked watching?

My buddy tried to get me to watch The Staircase for years and I kept saying nah. Then my power went out for a weekend and I had nothing else to do. Now I'm the one telling everyone they need to see it.

The Staircase felt like it dragged on too long for me personally.

Have you seen Evil Genius yet? That one totally messed me up, the whole pizza bomber thing is so bizarre it feels fake. The way each episode peels back another layer of that case kept me glued just like The Staircase did for you. Seriously, if you're looking for those "wait, what" moments, that's the one.
