The day I stopped buying fire bricks and started using the dirt from my own backyard
Back in 2019 I was burning through $200 worth of fire bricks every few months at my shop in Abilene until an old timer named Ray showed me he lines his forge with a clay and sand mix he digs up himself, and I've been using the same pile of dirt since, so has anyone else gone cheap on their forge lining or am I the only one digging up the yard?
