inHad a builder tear into my broom finish last summer - he was right
Yeah but that only works if you actually listen. Most guys just get defensive and keep messing up the same way. I had an old mason tell me my trowel work looked like a kid did it. Hurt my pride but I slowed down and watched his technique. Now I don't push so hard and my joints are way cleaner.

inThat legendary jazz pianist I forced myself to love for years... finally admitted I don't get the hype
Got tired of pretending to love Bob Dylan for like two years because every guy I dated swore he was a lyrical genius. Finally admitted to myself his voice just grates on my ears and his songs all sound the same to me. Now I just tell people straight up that I don't get the hype and it feels way better than faking it.

inCalled BS on that story about Beyonce's recording sessions until I talked to an engineer
Totally @smith.elliot, I still feel dumb for doubting that Beyonce thing.

inPicked a 0.5mm mechanical pencil over a 0.7mm for drafting
@susan81 here. The lead breakage thing is like that perfect pair of jeans that rips the second you sit down wrong. It's the same frustration as when your phone charger stops working just out of arm's reach. @hannah_wells suggestion about rotating the pencil is actually smart though. I've noticed that in life, the small things we do over and over need tiny adjustments to stay working right. Like how I have to tilt my coffee cup a certain way to avoid spilling on my keyboard. It's all about finding that sweet spot between precision and practicality.

inHit $5k in monthly passive income last month and it felt weird
Oh man, that is such a cool feeling when it just sneaks up on you like that! It's weird how sometimes the biggest wins happen when you're not staring at the numbers every second. I've noticed this pattern in life where the stuff you obsess over tends to take forever, but the things you just quietly work on and then forget about end up paying off randomly. Kinda like how you never find your keys when you're frantically looking, but they turn up the second you stop caring. Congrats on the milestone, that's a solid place to be.
