A 10 year old kid corrected my rule teaching and I changed my whole approach
I run a game table for my niece and her friends every other Sunday. This one kid, maybe 10, told me I spent more time explaining than playing and that is why nobody cared about the rules. He said just start the game and look stuff up when it matters. So I tried that with a medium weight euro game last weekend, we got through twice as many turns and everyone stayed awake. Has anyone else dumped the full rules explanation for a learn-as-you-go style?
