That guy at my FLGS told me to ditch my min-maxed deck for a theme build
He said I'd have more fun losing with a goblin joke deck than winning with a meta one, and after five straight games where I actually laughed instead of stressing, I finally get what he meant - anyone else have a store regular who actually changed how you play?

Traded out my hyper-competitive elfball deck for a lizard-themed pile of jank that literally folds to a stiff breeze. First game with it, I accidentally killed my own creature with a misplayed spell and just sat there laughing for a solid minute. The guy who convinced me just nodded like "told you so" while I was trying to explain that my strategy was basically "pray and draw poorly." Now I keep both decks in my bag, but I grab the jank one way more often when I want to actually have fun instead of grinding out wins. Still lose plenty, but at least now I'm laughing about it instead of quietly fuming.
