Why does nobody warn you that a slammed game cafe at 4pm means you're playing on 3 tables, not 6
Last Saturday I showed up at our local cafe in Sacramento at 4pm with my copy of Brass and our group of 5 for our weekly heavy euro night. The owner told me they had 6 tables on the floor, but only 3 of them fit anything bigger than a party game because the other 3 are wedged between the bar and the demo shelf. We ended up squeezing 4 players on a 2 foot table and knocking over the coal market track 3 times in one hour. I measured a spare table at home and it's 30 by 30, while those 3 'big' tables at the cafe are just 24 by 24. If your venue won't let you move the demo shelf, good luck with any 4x game, has anyone else run into this at their spot?
Wait, they count those cramped little 24 by 24 tables as real game tables? Knocking over the coal market three times in one hour would've had me packing up Brass and leaving.
