Vent: My jack decided to die halfway through a tube sheet repair yesterday

Was in the middle of pulling a tube at the Martinez refinery and my old 20-ton Porta-Power just gave up. Seal blew out, hydraulic fluid everywhere, and I had to wait 45 minutes for a replacement from the shop truck. Anyone else had a jack fail at the worst possible time?

45 minutes for a shop truck swap? That's a coffee break not a crisis. I've seen guys stand around for two hours waiting on a crane because someone forgot to grease the boom. Hydraulic fluid on the ground is annoying sure but it's not like you were buried under a tube bundle. You had a spare jack in under an hour. That's a minor delay not a disaster.
