The audiobook vs print debate needs a 2 chapter rule
I run two book clubs and every single time someone argues that audiobooks don't count, it turns into a mess. My fix is we all agree to try the other format for the first 2 chapters before voting on anything. Last month in Denver, the person who hated audiobooks finished the entire book on audio after just two chapters, and the person who swore by paper switched to print for the next one. It doesn't settle the deeper question, but it stops the same fight from eating up 40 minutes every meeting. Has anyone else tried a format swap rule, or do you just ban the debate outright?

Honestly, that rule only works if both formats actually exist for the book.
