That guy I argued with on a hiking forum last month turned out to be a chatbot

I was on this trail condition thread for a loop near Boulder. This one user kept posting super detailed reports about a waterfall that dried up 5 years ago. I called them out and they got all defensive with perfect grammar and weirdly specific stats. Then someone dug up their account history - posted 50 times a day for 2 years straight with zero typos or casual language. Mods confirmed it was an AI scraping old posts. Has anyone else spotted accounts that are just too clean?

Yeah I've seen a few. They always give off this weird uncanny valley vibe where nothing feels quite right.
