Hit 100 fake profiles in one week on Hinge and now I'm paranoid

I counted 100 obviously AI-generated profiles in 7 days on Hinge, all with the same weird hands in their photos. Has anyone else noticed a spike like this or am I just unlucky?

dude I saw a vid on youtube about this - some guy deepfaked his whole profile and got like 50 matches in a day. pretty sure the apps are just flooded with bots now.

Try reverse image searching their pics before you match, @david703, I do it every time now after getting catfished twice. That deepfake stuff is getting scary good but most of the bots still use stolen photos from instagram or pinterest profiles. You can spot em pretty fast if they have only one photo or their bio just says "ask me anything.
