inRant: The number that finally made me forgive Kevin Hart
Hang on, I actually looked into this same thing a couple months back and the numbers are a little different than what you're saying here. From what I saw, he donated roughly 75k over 6 years, not 50k over 8, but you're right that the viral post definitely exaggerated it. That quiet approach though, it's interesting because small regular donations without any press release or PR team involved do feel a lot more genuine than some giant one-time check with a photo op. And yeah, the persona shift was the bigger deal to me too, like he stopped doing that loud "look at me" comedy and got more reflective, which is way harder than just writing a check.

inThat time a reviewer told me my lesson plans were too rigid
Agree with @carr.abby on this, it's basically how my favorite local coffee shop works - they let you customize your drink but the syrup flavors are still organized by a little chart on the wall. That mix of structure and freedom just clicks for people.

inSpent $80 on a chain checker tool I thought was dumb
Tbh the real blind spot for most people isn't just chain wear, it's how we trick ourselves into thinking we're saving money by not buying tools. There's this weird pride in "making do" or "being able to tell by feel" that actually costs way more in the long run. My buddy spent six months riding on a stretched chain because he was too proud to buy a $15 gauge, then had to replace his entire drivetrain for $200. That's just ego pricing yourself into a worse situation.

inPrompt engineering in fiction writing: does strict planning kill creativity or make better stories?
The "stiff story" part is where I think people miss the real trade off. A stiff plot means you sometimes have to force characters into doing things that don't feel natural just to hit your outline beats. That messiness in a first draft actually teaches you stuff about your story that no outline can predict, even if it means more fix work later.

Three days of setup for two employees sounds like overkill.
