My 4 year old jade plant finally put out new roots after I moved it to a west window
Last month I got tired of looking at the same limp jade on my kitchen sill. Three years ago I bought it for $8 at a garage sale in Portland. It just sat there, never dying, never growing. I read somewhere they like more direct light, so I shoved it on the west facing shelf by my bathroom. Two weeks later I saw a tiny white root poking out of the drainage hole. Then a new leaf pair on top, first time since I got it. I almost cried in the shower. Does anyone else have plants that only wake up when you change their spot? What window direction worked best for yours?
