That six month monstera saga was mostly a pot problem

Seriously, I thought my monstera was just being dramatic and wanted more light. I moved it around 4 times over the spring and summer, bought a grow bulb, even tried talking to it. Finally last week I pulled it out of the pot and the roots were all squished in this tiny plastic nursery pot still. Repotted it into a bigger one with fresh soil and it perked up in like 3 days. Has anyone else spent way too long troubleshooting a plant only to find the issue was a basic upgrade?
