My $40 blender died after 11 smoothies, but the warranty thing surprised me
I got a Ninja blender from Target in March and it started smoking on smoothie number 11, right in the middle of frozen mango. I called the 800 number expecting a fight and they just asked for the serial number and shipped a new base to my apartment in two days, no receipt needed. Is it worth pushing for a full refund instead of the replacement, or should I just take the new one and hope this batch holds up?
The "no receipt needed" part is the real story here, because that means the serial number is doing all the work. If you push for a refund, you'd likely have to go back through Target with the receipt anyway, and stores are way stricter than the brand. Honestly the replacement costs you nothing, so I'd keep the new base and let the serial number stay on file in case round two dies too.
