That $18 rice cooker from a garage sale in Fresno outlasted my $200 one, and I don't know how to feel about it
I grabbed a no-name rice cooker at a garage sale in Fresno for $18 about three years back, mostly because my $200 one had just died after 11 months. I figured the cheap one would last a couple weeks and I'd be back to buying another fancy one. That thing is still going strong, makes perfect rice every time, and I've dropped it twice on the garage floor. My $200 one had a digital screen that stopped working and a nonstick pot that peeled after 8 months. Anybody else got a cheap no-name thing that just refuses to die while the expensive version craps out?
