Vent: The $60 blender that lasted 3 days and the one comment that changed my mind
Bought a cheap blender last week for smoothies, motor burned out by day 3. I was ready to rage and just toss it in the bin. Then my neighbor saw me carrying it out and said, 'You know that brand has a 2 year warranty, right? You just gotta email them.' I called the support line and they actually sent me a replacement, no questions asked, even paid shipping. Has anyone else had luck getting a refund or swap on something from a brand you assumed was junk, or did I just get lucky?

That line about the neighbor catching you carrying it out is so real, I did the same thing with a $40 coffee maker two years ago. Mine died after like a month and I just assumed I was out of luck, but my sister told me to check the manual and it had a 1 year warranty. I emailed them a photo of the receipt and they mailed a new one in like a week. So no, you didn't get lucky, most people just never bother asking.
