inUnpopular opinion: letting dough rest longer changed my bread game
Oh hey, just gotta say - overproofing is definitely a thing but that doesn't mean all long rests are overproofing. Cold proofing actually tightens the gluten, doesn't relax it. So night and day difference from a warm bulk ferment.

inI finally compared my grocery delivery orders to my in-store receipts
Oh man, I had the exact same experience! I used FreshCart for about 4 months before I noticed the markup. For me it was especially bad on produce - they were charging 50 cents more per pound of apples and the bananas were always bruised. I started going to the store at 7am on Saturday mornings instead and now I save about $25 a week. The delivery was nice when I was sick, but for regular shopping, nothing beats picking out your own stuff and seeing the actual prices.

inMy habit of over-decorating my monthly spread was killing my consistency
Simple and ugly" LOL that's brutal but honestly same. I tried making my journal all cute once with washi tape and stickers and ended up not writing in it for 4 months cause I was too scared to mess it up. Now my pages look like a 5th grader's homework but at least I actually use it.

inJust realized I had to pick between two totally different opening lines for my sci-fi story
Yeah, the "personality" bit is key. It makes you actually picture the character in their messy kitchen, not just hear a line. That visual does half the work for the writer.

inMy regular opponent said I was too aggressive on turn 1 of every game and it finally clicked why I kept losing by turn 6
But how do you decide what to hold back? Is it always your strongest card, or do you keep a good support piece hidden instead? I get stuck trying to figure out what my opponent expects me to play. Sometimes holding back too much just makes your opening weak.
