That 2 million view 'plant milk is destroying the planet' video had zero math behind it
Last Thursday I saw a viral clip claiming oat milk uses 10 times more water than dairy, and the comments ate it up. I looked at the actual study they cited, it was a 2018 paper from Sweden, and the real number was closer to 1.5 times, not 10. My own crew drinks oat milk on every job site in Phoenix, and if that stat was real we'd all be digging for water veins. Has anyone else fact checked a big number from a video that felt off, or am I the only one who keeps a calculator in the truck?
