I don't buy the redemption arc for the guy who ran that fake charity in Tampa, and the timeline is why
Three years back he's on every morning show crying about kids in Haiti. 18 months later the feds seize the account and it turns out $400k went to his brother's marketing company. Now last Tuesday he does a 12 minute video with a tearful voice saying he was 'young and naive' at age 41. That's the part that gets me. The apology came out 9 days before his book deal was announced. Let me say this plain: if the sorry comes with a launch date, it's not sorry, it's promo. People keep saying he served his time and we should move on. Served what time? He settled, no charges, and did a podcast tour. What am I missing here? Does anyone actually know if the Haiti kids ever got that money back?
