inUpdate: I started using a cheap fishing line spool to manage my umbilical in a current
Garden hose reels are a good thought, but aren't they mostly plastic? That cheap plastic won't hold up for long on a barge, it'll crack in the sun or get crushed. You need something with a metal frame, like an old welding wire spool. Those things are built to take a beating.

inMy dad swore by adding a can of chickpeas to stretch any soup, and after trying it with a $3 pot of tomato soup, I got three extra servings.
My grandma always added a handful of rice to her chili. I see this everywhere now, people using one cheap staple to make a meal go further. It feels like a quiet, shared kind of kitchen wisdom that gets passed around.

inMy neighbor, a retired forest ranger, just convinced me to stop skipping the side trails.
That "hallway" line is perfect. I once followed a game trail just because it looked like a deer used it, and it opened up to this whole meadow full of wildflowers nobody else was around to see.

inJust hit 500 clients in my little home studio and it feels surreal
Remember when my buddy's food truck got its 100th five-star review?

inI thought I could fix that stuck shutter with just a squirt of cleaner
Ever try using a tiny drop of lighter fluid first, like @lee18 might walk away from? What's your first move when the shutter feels slow but not totally stuck?
