Found out a standard brick wall needs a footing 8 inches deep, not 4
Was reading the local code book for a job in Akron last month and found out most exterior brick walls need a footing at least 8 inches deep and 16 wide, which is double what I've been pouring on small garden walls for years, so now I'm wondering how many of those little walls I've done are technically undersized, anyone else get caught by this?
