inA client told me my project updates were too long and they stopped reading them
Remember my old blog posts that were basically short stories? I'm pretty sure my own mom started skimming them. Now I keep it to three lines max or I lose myself!

inGot called out for my miter cuts on a window job last month
Honestly, that's how you actually learn a craft. You mess up the basics yourself, figure out why it failed, and then you never forget it. Getting it perfect from a teacher just makes you lazy.

inQuestion about my old sleeping bag lasting 15 years
Totally feel that, @violag80. It's wild how gear just slowly gives up on you even when it looks fine. My old sleeping bag is basically a warm weather only thing now, the loft is completely gone. You don't realize how much it's changed until you get a cold night and you're just laying there shivering. Makes you wonder about all the other old stuff in the closet that's not doing its job anymore.

inSaw my art style copied by an AI model on a big site last month.
My friend had a piece stolen last year and her hidden signature in the texture was the only thing that got it taken down. She used her initials in the brush strokes.

inVent: A whole week of nothing but aluminum wiring calls
Yeah, the pigtails failing after a few years is exactly what happened to me. I torqued to spec and still had a connection get loose and overheat. My fix was to replace the old pigtail with a new one that had a better clamp design, and I added a small dab of antioxidant grease. It's been solid for five years now. Sometimes the old parts are just worn out and need a proper upgrade, not just a retighten.
