Warned my cousin in Mesa about that viral 'you can get your money back from Zelle' thing, so I went line by line in her bank statement
The 'proof' everyone shares is 17 screenshots from a Facebook group with zero dates, and when I checked the actual police reports from Maricopa County last month, only 3 out of 40 cases got a dime back, so please stop reposting it before someone else skips the chargeback window.

Wait, only 3 out of 40? That is wild. I would have guessed maybe half, you know, since everyone screams "call your bank and dispute it!" like it always works. So basically people are reading 17 screenshots with no dates and treating it like gospel, then getting mad when the bank says no. That part about the chargeback window gets me too, because once that closes you are just stuck. I feel bad for the folks who sat around waiting on a Facebook post instead of picking up the phone that same week. Did the report say anything about why the 3 got their money back, like was it a certain bank or did they file fast?
